Portland is no different than any other city or town when it comes to needing physical therapy. Pain relief and stiffness from Auto and Work-Related Injuries, Chronic Pain, Elbow Pain, Foot and Ankle Pain, Headaches and Dizziness, Hip and Knee Pain, Neck and Back Pain, Pre/Post-Operative Rehabilitation, or Shoulder Pain.

Renew Physical Therapy, located on Southeast Division in Portland, is an independent manual physical therapy clinic. Our treatments are one-on-one, hands-on, pain-free, and focused on the root cause of each patient’s symptoms.

Below are some of the most common requests we get for services.

Physical Therapy Treatment for Chronic Pain

In treating patients who are dealing with chronic pain, we are frequently involved in a multidisciplinary approach with a number of pain management clinics in Portland who concurrently use other forms of conservative interventions such as oral medication, injection procedures of medication or prolotherapy, counseling, radiofrequency ablation, spinal electrical stimulator devices, acupuncture, etc.

Check out our Chronic Pain page for more information. You can also read our two posts about the differences between acute, overuse chronic injuries or chronic pain related to sprains and strains.

Physical Therapy Treatment for Foot and Ankle Pain

Foot and/or ankle pain can occur from physical injuries such as ankle sprains during court sports, overuse injury from standing on the job full-time, lack of use, or from gradual accumulated “wear and tear” as seen in arthritis. Improper footwear or structural conditions of the feet can contribute to the gradual onset of foot pain as well.

Check out our Foot and Ankle Pain page for more information about related conditions and how we help. You can also read our post about foot and ankle pain in Portland.

Physical Therapy Treatment for Shoulder Pain

Shoulder pain commonly occurs from physical injury such as a throwing injury or fall, repetitive overuse such as in racquet sports or home improvement projects, or sudden onset from sleeping awkwardly or from no particular cause.

You can read more about how we treat shoulder pain with physical therapy. We also have great posts about 4 common causes of rotator cuff injury, treating a rotator cuff injury with physical therapy, and finally a general post about treating shoulder pain in Portland.
